The Social relief Distress Fund(SRD) was created to bring down financial and economical stress the disadvantaged South Africans are suffering, during these difficult times of Covid-19.

But still, they are millions of South Africans who are still complaining that they are unfairly being denied the relief funds and the government should do something about it.
They are people who are said to be earning UIF money while they are not, getting NSFAS but they are not, and also those who qualify for the funds but don't have identification documents. The latter issue has been dealt with, SASSA released a statement yesterday afternoon addressing this issue.

Unemployed Child Grant Caregiver without an Id is eligible to apply for the grant and here Is how:
• Use the COVID-19 SRD link to apply. https:\\srd.Sassa.gov.za
• Use your SASSA system-generated identification number starting with 7777 as your ID number to apply.
• Once your application is approved your grants will be deposited into your gold Sassa card.
• You withdrew your funds at participating Supermarkets or Post offices.
• If you forgot your Sassa System-generated identification starting with 7777, you can call 0800 60 10 11 for the number.
