Twitter users tell SASSA they got it all wrong, when they declined their SRD grant application because an alternative income has been identified.

@Lee_Ntshole wrote on Twitter that she does not know how she is going to survive. It was hard for her for the past two month without getting the R350. Now that the started paying, they declined her. She asked which source of income she has. She she was unemployed and this has been her only source of income. She went further to say her family is now going to go to bed hungry and on the other side she was struggling to get an employment.

Her pain was shared by many on Twitter who were also declined for the same reasons, alternative income identified. Grant applicants are asking how did SASSA identify any source of income as their bank accounts have not received money since SASSA stopped paying the R350 SRD grant in April.

Please note that if your grant has been declined, you have an opportunity to submit an appeal for grant reconsiderations payment.
