Many online businesses were seriously affected by the impact of the shut down which lasted for hours on Monday 4th October.
Meanwhile, many South African people took their time to deliberate on the matter after Facebook official page on Twitter addressed the issue while pledging that the platforms will come back to normal.
This are some of the comments from South Africans below.
Jess: "I restarted my phone FOUR times, uninstalled and installed messenger app, took a nap, went sailing with my cat, met Beyonce, went dumpster diving because I got mad and threw my phone in the bin because it turns out it was a fake Beyonce, ate a sad cookie and now I'm here."
George: "I have been writing to you for 2 months and the work of your technical support is just a mockery of all normal people. You removed 10 years of a person's life . The soul and creativity invested in this account and the photographer's portfolio"
Zubair Tech: Today was my birthday and I posted my story on Facebook and WhatsApp but both Facebook and WhatsApp are closed. What should I do?"
