Many folks have lost their phones as a result of the flooding. Some people accidentally drop it in water when washing their clothes, while others accidentally drop it in water while bathing. Others have also been known to drop their mobile phones in water, which causes them to experience problems with the device's functionality.
It is true that a large number of waterproof phones have recently appeared on the market. Who knows how many individuals can afford these types of water-resistant phones, and how many of them do so. When you accidentally drop your phone into water or any other liquid, you should follow the easy instructions outlined below.
In the first place, remove your smartphone from the water as soon as possible and completely dry it with a clean cloth afterward. If the phone is still in use, turn it off as soon as possible. Resist the temptation to unlock it and check that it is still operational because doing so may cause it to stop functioning in the future. If it is turned off, leave it turned off.
Second, if at all feasible, remove the back of the phone and the battery (this is sadly not possible with the iPhone and other high-end cellphones). Eject the SIM card as well as the memory card, if you are using one.
In the third step, carefully shake your smartphone to remove any water that may have gotten into the headphone jack, charging socket, or any other port.
Place your smartphone in a bowl of dry rice, being sure to completely cover it, and set it aside for at least 48 hours.
Finally, after the 48-hour period has expired, inspect the ports for rice and remove any grains with a small pair of tweezers. a. You are now able to turn on your phone. If it works, make a backup of all of your data right away in case it stops working again later.
