A new burial app has been introduced in South Africa that will remove the burden of the family of the deceased having to do all the admin in collecting money from various insurers. “Send Off” is the name of the app that will assist in all things funerals.
In the current climate will live in and the uncertainty that the pandemic has brought, a new burial app has been developed to try to ease the pain away. Many people will attest too include myself that the organisation of funerals is one tedious process especially when you are grieving. There has been a new app develop by Zolani Matebese. Send Off is an app that will assist you in planning everything that is needed for a funeral.
What's interesting to know is that the app covers all aspects from food, coffins, trauma counseling, graveyard cleaning services and body repatriation. The app even allows you to pre-plan your burial so that your family members can bury you with dignity and ease of mind.
My thoughts are that this app is definitely going to be a game-changer. It will challenge a lot of mainstream funeral services as a lot of people prefer convenience rather than having to run up and down at a time of mourning. In the day and age we live in, things are slowly moving to the digital sphere and numerous companies will have to adapt or run the risk of being run out of business. How effective this app will be, only time will tell as it's still at it's preliminary stages.
I'm certain that at least everyone has a story to share on a bad experience they've had when it comes to funerals and how better equipped they should have been. It will be interesting to know how quick the turnaround time will be on the app compared to you physically doing it yourself. So is this a better way forward?
