Every weekend of football action never seems to disappoint and whenever it takes place, some individual performances are seen, but teams never mind as they are concerned about getting the three points only.
These were the players who had a great weekend with their teams:
This is certainly the man of the weekend as he was trending all over South Africa for his brace against Kaizer Chiefs, who were interested in his services during the closed transfer Window. Letsoalo had put his team 2-0 up, leading the match to produce a stunning and historic 4-1 win for Royal AM. Letsoalo will be a confident man for the rest of the season because of that.
Moseamedi has been a revelation for Steve Barker since joining from Maritzburg United and continued his fine start to life in Stellenbosch. He helped himself to a brace when Stellies thrashed Cape Town City 3-0. Barker will be very pleased to finally have a reliable men upfront, and this will surely be a confidence booster Moseamedi who will now feel that a good season is ahead for him.
The new Sundowns man opened his account for the Brazilians as he got the third goal for the Brazilians when they thrashed TS Galaxy 3-0. The goal from Kutumela will surely have him feeling that pressure is off him and that he is well deserving of being a Mamelodi Sundowns player, having recently arrived in the last transfer window from Maritzburg United.
The striker had a fantastic weekend with his AmaZulu slde who were playing in the CAF Champions League in Malawi. Ntuli partnered with Siphelele Mthembu upfront, recording a brace while Mthembu got one also, dealing a 3-1 victory and progressing to the next round of the competition.
Mahlambi showed a glimpse of efforts to return to doing what he does best, that being scoring goals. The Sundowns player is now working with his former coach Gavin Hunt and it seems it is paying off as he opened his account inside 12 minutes against Orlando Pirates. Although it was a good match for Mahlambi's confidence, it was a bad one for his team as they ended up losing 3-1 at the hands of Orlando Pirates.
