If your smartphone isn't compatible with WhatsApp anymore, you'll need to switch to a newer model that does.
When you input the same phone number as before, your current account will be re-enabled.
You will not be able to transfer your conversation history between platforms, such as from Android to iPhone, but you will be able to keep it.
Before November, you'll be able to do so by exporting your conversation history as an email attachment.
