Theft robbery

Top PSL player counts his blessings after he almost his life

Crime has been something that South Africa has had to find alternatives to deal with, as it seems like the country is filled with lawbreakers. Everyday citizens have to constantly behind their backs as they don’t know who’s after their belongings. Safety should be a priority for everyone, unfortunately, others feel that they’re more privileged than certain individuals. Now, it has been reported that a DStv Premiership player Sifiso Ngobeni has been grateful for being alive following being hijacked by thugs who pretended to be police offers in Midrand.

It was difficult for the Mamelodi Sundowns star to even spot out the thugs, as they made sure that he doesn’t see them, despite it being daylight robbery. Also, the thugs were fully armed with guns and wearing police bulletproof vests and he has robbed his iPhone 8 cellphone that cost R3000, designer shoes. On top of that, the so-called police drove with him in his car to Bekkersdal, South of Johannesburg. And they parked in a garage as they had to withdraw his money from the bank, which gave Ngobeni a golden chance to escape barefoot at the garage. As he wanted to make it out alive, as he didn’t know what was the thugs' plan after their trip to the garage. However, he didn’t know how much they took from him as his daily limit is R20 000.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic star stated that he was assisted by an unknown person who took him to the police station whereby he opened a case of hijacking, robbery, and theft in hope that they will find the criminals that inflict pain on him. Also, Ngobeni’s car Polo GTI was taken by the thugs that were driving a white Toyota Corolla. The police have stated that anyone who has any information about this robbery, then they should come forward. Ngobeni was coming from Sundowns' headquarters in Chloorkop after their training session.
