The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development has slammed allegations court documents pertaining to the fraud and money laundering case against Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary, were stolen during proceedings at the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Monday.

Department spokesperson Steve Mahlangu said a full investigation was conducted and it was found magistrate’s court’s notes were in possession of the relevant court officials.

It is standard practice for the assistant of the court to recover the charge sheet, as the caretaker of the court records, for additional handling and capacity.

"The collaboration between the agent of the court and the columnist found in the video/pictures depended on the writer mentioning to have sight of the charge sheet. This is permitted and doesn't infer that any reports were taken out from the court," he said.

Mahlangu added all agendas are held by the National Prosecuting Authority, whenever they are given over by the police researching official.

"The agenda never get communicated to a justice or judge hearing an issue. Thusly, the agenda was not part of the reports that were traded between the court authorities found in the recordings/pictures," he said.
