Zwelanani Ma Africa has relaunched its feeding of the unemployed program on Sunday.

In this particular day the feeding started in Germiston CBD before proceeding to Primrose. Many people
came to receive the food in numbers. The huge number was exacerbated by the impact of lockdown
currently in place in South Africa. Many people have been affected negatively by the lockdown.
When asked how he felt helping the people who looked relieved receiving the food, the Executive Director , Vesi Motau, Louded the volunteers for their support and the communities for their willing to help the less fortunate.
"We can achieve better life for all if every one of us would do our part. Just a basic food like bread can go along way to help families and individuals struggling with hunger and poverty in our communities." ]Motau stresses.
"We are fighting the social ills in our communities with one weapon and that is bread. We stand against women and child abuse, alcohol and drug abuse, all forms of criminal activities. Above all hunger and poverty can induce people into commit crime, therefore eradicating poverty and hunger should be and is our top priority." He clarifies.
Zwelanani Ma Africa is civil society organisation committed to eradication of poverty and hunger. It is based in Germiston Eastrand in Driehoek area in the City of Ekurhuleni.
Meanwhile the organisation has appealed to residents to observe all rules regulations the authorities are giving to minimize the spread of covid19.
The organisation lamented the sanitary challenges in the informal settlements and urged government to intensifies screening testing in these areas to arrest the spread of coronavirus.
The organisation has assured and continue to encourage the vulnerable people and the job seekers that they will always
mobilize resources to be channeled towards assisting them with bread so that no one goes to bed without eating. There is hope for the disadvantaged and poor in our communities. The organisation says in one of its messages.
The organisation is appealing to well wishers to assist them so that they can reach out to as many unemployed job seekers and the vulnerable people in the communities.
