The murder of a child is the most tragic thing that can happen to a family, often we become complacent leaving our children to walk around our neighborhoods not fearing much because it's where we call home.
However tragedy can strike at any time and these days it's important to be cautious of our children as many child abductions have taken place. This next grim case is an example if why we should never let our guard down when it comes to our children.
This past Tuesday in the area of Eden Park a nine year old girl was sent to the tuckshop. This seems like a normal event. However the child would never return and one family would be left heartbroken.
At around 2:00 PM the missing child was reported to the Eden Park SAPS and they immediately sprung into action by starting a search party with community members.
When they arrived at the tuckshop they found that the sixteen year old assistant could not properly answer questions asked about the girl, which is when they search the room and made a truly horrifying discovery.
The body of the nine year old girl was found wrapped in a plastic with a stab wound to her upper body. The tuckshop owner and the boy was arrested and it was found that the latter had a fraudulent ID.
The suspects wife was attacked by a mob but later rescued by police. The women will also be appearing in court in absentia. The three have been charge with murder and contravention of the immigration act.
