R350 Grant BLF to lay Complain with Public Protector


Black First Land (BLF) has received multiple complains from unemployed who have no means of survival,but the application for the special COVID-19 social relief of Distress of R350 have been rejected.


BLF issued a statement in thier website saying people can contact them if they wish thier complain to be included in BLF's submition to the public Protector.

"One of the applicant said so my application has been declined and apparently I am receiving payments from other sources,that time I only completed my studies last year,I need an appeal" he said.



"Please explain why unemployed people are not receiving the SDR R350 grant? How do we appeal our decline application this is really not fair. We are struggling and desparetly need the money" said BP Mkhabela.

Some people have resorted to apply for R350 as thier UIF did not pay.

According to Teboho Maruping UIF commissioner bank verification has caused delay and failure in payment of UIF application not received,as at times the bank account will be wrong or inactive said Maruping on eNCA.



The south African social security agency has declined about 2.8 million applications from a possible 6.2 million applicants,who applied for R350 COVID-19 unemployed grants.

Sassa said it had received 6.2 million applications of Wich it had already paid 1.2 million applicants to date.
