Ideological groups in the City of Johannesburg chamber are said to have guaranteed Cogta MEC Lebohang Maile there will be no turbulent conduct in Thursday's gathering.

This comes after Maile met with committee speaker Vasco da Gama and any remaining ideological groups addressed in board in front of the decision in favor of Section 79 portfolio seats on Thursday.

Among those, will be the designation and the appointment of the Municipal Public Accounts Committee executive.

This will be committee's third effort to choose portfolio seats as two past gatherings imploded due to councilors not having the option to settle on the method for casting a ballot.

In an assertion, Maile's representative Lupi Ngcayisa said the MEC guaranteed political agents that the commitment ought not be interpreted as obstruction by the MEC yet rather as communication between the two circles of government.

Ngcayisa added there was strong commitment and gatherings made their entries.

"As a group, among others, parties in chamber will make thinks twice about their various perspectives on the democratic system to be taken on when board chooses the executives of the different portfolio panels, gatherings will forgo any unsuitable for direct, particularly lead that might bring about brutality," he said.

Committee is booked to begin at 10am at the Constance Connie Bapela board chamber at the Metro Center.
