Cosatu and South African Human Rights Commission; have warned employers not to force employees to vaccinate for Covid-19.
He said some of the workers have expressed fear of losing their jobs if they refuse to vaccinate for the virus.
Pamla said employers should not force employees to vaccinate because they have rights.
"Even the President; Cyril Ramaphosa; made it clear that a person has a choice to vaccinate; it is not compulsory. We support the message urging people to vaccinate; but they should not be forced." Said Pamla.
He said employees must make arrangements for people to work from home; instead of offices; while the scourge of the virus is still high.
SAHRC said; those who have been threatened with being expelled if they do not vaccinate; should inform them.
The Commission's Buang Jones; said people should report this; because vaccination is not compulsory.
"If an employer says everyone should vaccinate because it is compulsory and one feels that they do not agree with this decision; they must report it to the SAHRC; so that we will intervene." Said Jones.
He said; they have started to receive complaints from people who have been threatened with being expelled if they do not vaccinate.
"We will collect evidence; regarding all cases; we will announce the way forward." He said.
Deputy Minister of Health; Mmamoloko Kubayi; always emphasises that no one is forced to vaccinate for Covid-19.
She always urges those who do not agree with the vaccination; not to discourage others from doing so.
On Friday; when she visited one of the vaccination sites; in Tembisa Johannesburg; she said they want to eventually reach approximately 300 000 people vaccinated in a day; because the president set this target for them.
At the moment there are more than 7 million vaccines that have been issued in this country.
