A hashtag has been started in South Africa urging companies to hire South Africans and stating that South Africans have been put first.

The incident took place in Diepkloof and the KFC franchise was closed down by South African because it's employed foreign nationals.

The residents of Soweto took it upon themselves to close down the shop because they believe that the government is not doing enough to employ South Africans and South African citizens.

South Africa has had high levels of unemployment including unemployed graduates and qualified individuals being unable to find work.

It also faces large numbers of foreign nationals from various African countries like Zimbabwe and Nigeria.

This does not sit well with many South African because it is alleged that employers prefer for additional because they work for lower rates.

The timing of the strike is also perfect because this means that while political leaders company they will hear the cries of the Citizens
