The Department of Basic Education has once again released post for Education assistants and General school assistants. This is not for the first time the Department introduce such initiative. Last year they ditched out 300000 posts for Assistants at school. The recruitment is part of the Presidential Employment Stimulus programme and they have invited all unemployed youth to apply. The posts are at Public schools and LSEN schools.
This is phase 2 of the posts, phase one was implemented last year December and ended in April 2021. The next phase which is phase 2 will start on the 01st of November until end of March 2021.
The people will each receive a stipend of 3817 for a period of Five months. This is a great initiative from our government for creating employment amongst the youth and ensuring schools are taken care of in terms of cleaning and conducive learning.
