Okay before we even go far, let us rubbish the claims that these restaurants are hiring equally because that is not true. While Julius Malema has blatantly stated out these things, many people stand to disagree with what he is saying.
Julius Malema says they are fine with a 50/50 Ratio Employment between foreign nationals and South Africans, but that does not mean South Africans are fine with it.
He says the conduct of this research is not to incite violence however to promote working together between Africans from all over the continent and it is truly courageous, however he was still met with a lot of disdain from the Kream representative.
Malema was briefing the media outside the Mall of Africa when he said that it is the employers that employ foreigners to actually exploit them.
Lets wait a minute here, he says that there is a 50/50 percent kind of set up however in another video where he was addressing black community members he said that Kream has the most Zimbabwean employees.
I have also worked at Kream during the December holidays and I can tell you that they do indeed hire a lot of Zimbabwean nationals, they also exploit varsity and teens right out of Grade 12 whereby they basically pay them peanuts it is very sad.
Kream is a very nice restaurant but the people who work inside are very unhappy about the mistreatment that they receive from the management which is mostly made up of white males, but other than that there is a lot of suffering but people keep quiet because they depend on that money.
Here is a video of a former waitress at Kream
