South African's unemployment rate continue to widen under very trying economic conditions. A lot of people are searching for jobs and economic opportunities to put food on the table without luck.
The Department of Public Service and Administration has decided to offer a huge relief to job seekers applying for government jobs. Moving forward, job seekers will no longer be required to submit certified copies when they apply for jobs in government.
The Department of Public Service and Administration has issued a circular informing all national and provincial departments of the new change.
Only those who get shortlisted will be expected to bring certified copies of their documents. This will assist people who are unemployed to save on costs of making copies.
Job seekers will now be able to use the same copies for months or years until they are offered a job or invited to an interview in any government department.
