Every day lives are lost on the road in the country, Road accidents account to a large number of deaths recorded. The road is a shared space and another driver's mistake or reckless driving could cause someone their lives.
One thing we need to remember is that our lives are fragile on the road because accidents that occur may not always be within our control, this is the reason why people are advised to be sober and alert on the road.
Two men were killed in a terrible accident on the N1 northbound in Johannesburg, the men where on their way to a mine in Limpopo to start their new careers.
The two victims were identified as Khalid Mehmood and Suliman Mohamed, the two were on the road when a chemical tanker collided with a Volkswagen polo and another vehicles, leading to the unfortunate death of Khalid and Suliman who were on the verge of becoming specialised welders.
The two friends were burned to death and two other people were injured in the horrific accident.
All their dreams and aspirations are gone just like that.
