Sometimes you need a role model to push you to be able to get where you want to be , skills and patience also count in reaching your goals. We used to think that only men were able to do the Mechanics works but things have changed . Women also have the ability to do the work that involves cars and succeed .
Amukelani Princess Mukhari is a 29 years old young lady who was born in Muledzhe Village just next to Nandoni Dam in Venda . Growing up, she used to lookup to her dad who was a spray painter as well as Mechanical Engineering. Things took a turn when her dad was unable to work and provide for his family due to an accident he had back in 1999. This became a motivation to Princess and from there, she knew what she had to do.
As any other kids, a qualification was still important to her. After matriculation, she then went to study for Mechanical Engineering. By looking at the highest number of unemployment in South Africa, she knew she had to work very hard to be able to get good marks and if lucky get an internship as well. She then got a Trade certificate as she also wanted to have her own business. Her love for cars immediately grew in her as her father was her role model . She now has her own business called “The Automotive Pros” Located in Randfontein.
Her dream is to educate other young individuals who wish to be in the same industry as her, she has already started approaching schools to speak to learners and try to put them in the right directions. Learners are suppose to know that where you come from can not define who you are or what you wish to become in future . School is important, you need to also think abroad when thinking about the course you want to do in University as well as the industry you wish to be associated with.
Kindly share your thoughts below, let us know what you think about her mindset when comes to business. If there are any advices you wish to add, please do so . Together we can do more .
