Mzansi was left in shock after learning that Mazda Menlyn has appointed controversial Zodwa Wabantu as its ambassador.
At this point, I guess we can all agree that there is no one formula to making it life. In fact, it doesn’t even matter whether the society approves of it or not, as long as it works for you and makes sense to you. And, clearly, whatever Zodwa is doing is working in her favour because she has become the first exotic dancer to become an ambassador for Mazda.
She recently took to social media to announce to her followers that she is the new brand ambassador fo Mazda Menlyn - an achievement worth raving about.
“Hold your handbrakes !!! With great excitement I’d love to announce that I’m the newest Mazda menyln Ambassador . Yes your very own Zodwa Wabantu will be cruising these streets in her new Mazda CX-30. Watch out for me at events and be the first to experience the Mazda CX-30 with Zodwa Wabantu,” she wrote on Instagram.
Congratulatory messages flooded her comments section. @_ndabezitha said: “one thing about you is that they will talk about how you do things but you will always get your bag. And that’s something I’ll always respect about you.”
“Look at God! When they judge and criticise you, you keep it moving and do you. I love this for you,” said @zenande.
As the new ambassador, she will be painting the city red and in style in the new Mazda CX-30.
To those of you who think this is a marketing strategy, you are absolutely correct! Mazda is not doing anyone dirty for going for gold (by choosing an influencer). Zodwa sure will get customers rolling and she knows exactly why she was chosen. At the end of the day, this is business!
