A close look at The Kahn-tuned Mercedes-Benz X-Class pickup truck that wants to be picked up.

The X-Class was not the cash cow Mercedes-Benz expected it to be, so it was phased out permanently in 2020, after three years on the market.

However, interested parties can still find a nice used example, possibly with an aftermarket touch, such as this one with Kahn's signature.

It was made in 2019 and has 13,500 miles (21,275 km) on the clock after being modified by the tuner's Chelsea Truck Company division. The right-hand drive example is listed on their official website here for £49,999, which is equivalent to $68,945 at today's exchange rates.

It's finished in black and has a Panamericana-style grille with vertical slats. This is one of several modifications approved by Kahn, which also includes bumper and hood vents, wide wheel arches, and door protective guards.

The vehicle is equipped with 22-inch RS-XF wheels, rear privacy windows, and an optional hardtop to keep the cargo area safe from prying eyes.

The interior of the Kahn-tuned X-Class is black and red, with the front and rear seats, center armrest, and other parts reupholstered in leather and adorned with Kahn branding.

The satellite navigation system, DAB radio, trip computer, eight-speaker audio, tire pressure monitoring system, reversing camera, cruise control, and several other features are among the factory features on deck.

This pickup, based on the X-Class 250d, is powered by a Nissan-sourced turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder diesel engine. Because Kahn didn't say anything about it in the ad, the oil burner is presumably all stock, which means it still produces 190 ps (187 hp / 140 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque.

It's paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission and the brand's 4Matic all-wheel drive system with torque vectoring for improved traction off-road or in bad weather.
