IMOTO: TOYOTA AGYA
THE A segment is one of the most important car dealerships in the world.
Aygo was related to the Peugeot 107/108 and Agya has no relationship with it at all as it is based on Diahatsu Ayla due to Toyota's relationship with Daihatsu Motor Company.
This little one looks great with LED rear lights, a spoiler and 14 inch rims.
Inside I like the way it is open because I am tall but able to sit comfortably in the back. The boot is also open but what I don't like is that it has a keyhole but it is not because it is pressed with a button. When you open it you have to go to the driver's door in the middle.
It comes with aircon, power windows, 12 volt socket if you want to charge with a radio that plays CD, Bluetooth, aux and USB.
The radio was annoying and you could hear it squeaking as you walked but the frequency was for the station you wanted. If you prefer you install a touchscreen with which you can connect the phone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto which is a competitor like Datsun Go that comes with it without adding money.
Comes with Toyota Connect with Wi-Fi and 15gb free data. Once set up you install the app on your mobile phone that lets you see important details about the car or ask for help.
Agya runs on a 1 liter three-cylinder petrol engine. It has 49kW of power and 89Nm of torque. You get it with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
It begs on the street and is fun to walk in the city because of its small size and easy parking.
At 100km they say it consumes 4.9 liters of petrol but we drive it consuming 5.9 liters.
For safety it comes with ABS brakes, EBD, seating seat, dual front airbags and alarm.
Agya MT - R178 600
It comes with a 20 000km service plan or two services with a three-year warranty or 100 000km.
