Surprisingly, experts believe a 1969 Volkswagen Microbus is the most valuable Hot Wheels in the world. That's the legendary rear-loading Beach Bomb Hot Wheels car that wasn't painted purple, green, red, light blue, or gold. However, in pink!
There are allegedly only two pink Hot Wheels Beach Bombs in existence right now. This makes them not only extremely valuable, but also extremely rare. So, while its custom appearance and color scheme may not be to everyone's taste, this little car is unquestionably legendary.
As a result, it's a valuable prize for anyone who collects oddball Hot Wheels items. But here's the catch. You're unlikely to be able to obtain one of the original pieces of 1969 memorabilia. One is housed in Bruce Pascal's (aka the King of Hot Wheels) museum, while the other was allegedly sold to one of his friends a long time ago.
Fortunately, a pixel master's alternative exists thanks to a collaboration with Superfly Autos. Timothy Adry Emmanuel, also known as @adry53customs on social media, has expertly timed this arrival to coincide with the official reveal of the Hot Wheels Unleashed video game. In addition, his interpretation of the pink Hot Wheels Beach Bomb is available as a collector's art print.
The artwork was also captioned "superfly_autos Exclusive! Now available to buy as a collector's Art Print...the widebody and slammed "BEACH BOMBED" created by the talented car render artist @adry53customs"
His vision is decidedly outlandish. Given that we're talking about Hot Wheels cars and video game references, this is almost spot on. Complete with a massive widebody kit, "woodies goodies," a racer's surf-ready atmosphere thanks to the massively protruding engine upgrade, and a slammed attitude.
One can say whatever they want about the pink color, but this is one Hot Rod Volkswagen Microbus I wouldn't mind flaunting around... at the beach, at the club, or while slow cruising around the world's most beautiful coastlines!
