More than anything else, a car in the football world is a statement piece. A sign of their status in the beautiful game. Otherwise who would want to drive around in a jalopy when their teammates are driving around in high end cars.
PSL footballers and cars go hand in hand, with more money than sense and a little bit to spend on, the modern day footballer can easily afford to buy a high end car every other month.
As one of the most exciting footballers of his time former Kaizer Chiefs winger Thuso Phala has owned one of the most impressive car collections over the years. As of recent he has since taken to IG to flaunt one of his latest rides. In the shared image Phala has since went to flaunt a Mercedes Benz AMG A200 hatchback.
According to the manufacturer's website the high end car comes at a retail price which is approximately at R550 000. The luxurious Mercedes Benz A200 has everything we expect from the brand, class and comfort. According to sources the car comes with a 2.0L petrol engine and can easily accelerate from 0 to 100km/hr in only 6.2 seconds with a top speed of 248 km/hr.
Judging by his social media feed it seems as if Thuso Phala has had the Mercedes Benz AMG A200 for some time now. As one of the most successful PSL footballers of his generation Thuso Phala made his debut in 2006 with defunct Silver Stars. Over the years he would then go to feature for Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Platinum Stars and as well as Black Leopards.
Besides be largely known as one of the greatest wingers to ever grace the PSL, Thuso is also famously known for his goal celebration named after him, the "Phalaza" which is even popular in the dance scenes.
