Then there's a plethora of international food stuffs in our grocery stores. Plus all the heavy engineering work is outsourced mostly to European countries.

Every Rand you spend on any of these brands and others in South Africa... sends money to those countries...

...that's why they have low unemployment & high GDP...

...You know what's crazier??? Most of the people running stores that sell these brands are not native South Africans and most are not even black!

Your so-called leaders don't care because they benefit through tax, shares in some of these companies & bribes from some of these companies to ensure we consume their products.

I don't care who you vote for on a ballot paper. What I care about is who you vote for with your Rand... and who you vote for with your labour... that's who owns & controls you.

It's almost impossible for Africans to even begin trying to challenge those brands, those are some of the worlds most prominent and opulent companies and to try navigate in those space, you do only need to be highly skilled but need great amount of capital. Sadly in Africa the most talented individuals migrate to work in the North America and Europe leaving the rest of the continent brain dead. Corruption by our governments is what is holding us back. On paper we should be the most successful continent ever but in Africa its a man for himself. I salute brands like Drip, Mofaya, Rich Mnisi etc for trying to penetrate into the market and wish them all the best. Unity and keeping capital amongst our selves as blacks is the way to go and is not something that can be done over night but will take centuries of hard and dedication.
