Six dead, 5 injured after a bakkie rolled

ER24 response vehicle.
SIX people were killed and five others injured when their bakkie overturned on the S61 in the Besters area outside Ladysmith on Friday night.
When ER24 arrived on the scene, the bakkie was found in the field, about 150 meters from the road on its side With numerous people lying around the vehicle.
Russel Meiring, a spokesman for ER24, said:
"Five people have already succumbed to their injuries and there is nothing that could be done for them.

Six other patients were treated at the scene. One of them was in critical condition and five others sustained less serious to minor injuries.
The persons were all treated at the scene and transported to hospitals in the area for further treatment.
Unfortunately, the person with critical injuries succumbed to his wounds upon their arrival at the hospital."
The cause of the accident is still unknown.
