Unresolved Santaco leadership dispute will likely see an increase in Taxi Violence
SA National Taxi Council (Santaco) leaders in the Greater Johannesburg and Sedibeng regions have approached the high court to nullify Abner Tsebe’s election as national president at Sun City in North West earlier this month. Last Thursday, Santaco Greater Johannesburg regional chairperson Velanto Davide Thwala and Sedibeng regional chairperson Mzwabantu Midday Mali challenged the “constitutionality and legality” of a decision by its national leaders to place the Gauteng provincial executive under administration, just five days before the national conference.

The South African National Taxi Council (Santaco) in Tshwane has coordinated all taxi relationship in the district to "go out in full power" to secure all shopping centers in the city against the boundless plundering and defacing that has left a path of obliteration. Tshwane Santaco executive Abner Tsebe said the taxi business should move "promptly" to help the work being finished by the South African Police Service and a few networks that are presently ensuring organizations against huge scope plundering.
