Judge Ramarumo Monama has died. He was the judge who recently sentenced former police officer Rosemary Ndlovu to six life terms for several murders. Monama died on Thursday after a brief illness, Gauteng Acting Judge President Aubrey Ledwaba announced. Monama recently presided over a trial in which he found Ndlovu guilty of organizing the killings of her spouse and five family members in order to collect insurance claims on policies she had taken out on them.

The twins are charged for the terror and the court had that they have entered into a plea and sentence agreement with the state. On Monday, the court sentenced Brendon- Lee and Tony- Lee for eight years and eleven years in respectively after Judge Ratha Mokgoatleheng upheld the plea and sentence deal with the State.

South Africans twins accused of plotting Islamic terrorism back in court

The Thulsie twins have been in police custody since their arrest in July 2016 on terror charges. It is now six years and yet the case is being heard today on 18 January 2022 in Johannesburg High Court. Tony-Lee and Brandon-Lee Thulsie were arrested in 2016 following raids in various parts of Gauteng with the accusation of plotting to blow parts of Johannesburg.
