A case of culpable homicide has been opened by the Northern Cape police following an accident involving African National Congress Member of Parliament, Mxolisi Sokatsha, on the N12 road, 20 kilometres outside Belmont on Friday night. The ANC member of parliament, Sokatsha, also had served as MEC in four provincial departments.
Mxolisa Sokatsha, ANC MP, says the ANC remains committed to transforming the health system rooted in apartheid policies. The transformation of the health care system remains a priority. Comrade Sokatsha died too soon, and it was hard to believe that he had died the night before. He was humble and soft-hearted, and his character was a true example of the Christian faith, so it was hard to believe that he had died. It was easy for him to let out his emotions, and he could not hold back his tears when he was in a bad situation or when a personal hardship was involved.
