South African women are SH0CKED and TRAUMATIZED after what happened to two women in khayelitsha

Police have launched an investigation aimed capturing the suspect/s responsible for the killing of two women at Site-B in khayelitsha last night. According to the daily talk online TV news report, two young women aged between 18 and 21 were shot and killed last night 27 September 2021 at around 20:00 in Site-B, Khayelitsha the women were discovered by members of the community lying in a pool of blood between the shacks.

Police who turned away a rape victim to face disciplinary action

Western Cape Provincial Police Commissioner, Yolisa Matakata has called for a disciplinary investigation into the conduct of a Khayeltisha based police officer after a rape victim was turned away from the Site B police station. General Matakata said based on the sensitivity of crimes against women, the police officers who allegedly advised the victim to come back and report the matter a day later, was being insensitive. According to preliminary police reports, the 26 year old victim had visited the police
