Today, the 10th of August 2022, the community of Refilwe stood up in protests that is anticipated to last till the end of the week. The Diamond Chamber of Commerce commented that feedback they received, from the community members and business owners, is that the main purpose of the protest is to hand over "Memorandums of Demands"  to larger employers within the community.

Few days ago, we learnt about the tragedy which took place in one of well known tavern in Eastern Cape province. Twenty one under age children lost their lives at Enyobeni night club. Since the incident community members have been arguing with the law enforcement agencies to shut down the building with some even arguing for it to be demolished.

CHAOS as march ends in tears.

The Public Order Police were compelled to use rubber bullets to disperse the crowd of demonstrators wearing EFF T-Shirts who had gathered outside the Sibanye-Stillwater offices. A MARCH that was intended to be peaceful ended in complete pandemonium close to the headquarters of the Sibanye-Stillwater mine outside of Rustenburg in North West.

Serial murderer nabbed in Kranskop

Gone are the days when criminals used to easily get away from the arm of the law after they will have caused so much pain to members of the communities. A report was released by the South African Police Services today announcing the arrest of one of the wanted murder suspects in the country. This is in connection with an incident which claimed the life of a 65 year old named Sakhiseni Dlomo. The victim was at his homestead in Kranskop in the Makhabeleni area and he was found dead on the 5th of September 2020

On Thursday, students from Galeshewe's Phatsimang College came to the streets to seek answers about test results that were still pending. The police dispersed the protesting students after they began burning tyres and disrupting traffic. For public violence and intimidation, two students were arrested. 1 December 2020 at 23:00, residents from Balmoral Squatter camp in Wit Deep Road, Boksburg were protesting about the lack of electricity in the area.
