Leaders of the Political Parties Assembly (PPA), the civil society and other stakeholders are calling for the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Troika on Politics, Defense and Security to deploy peacekeeping soldiers to protect civilians. This was submitted by the political leaders during a meeting with SADC Envoys at the Royal Villas, the delegation was sent by President Cyril Ramaphosa in his capacity as Chairperson of the SADC Troika.
Vusumuzi Matsebula, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Ezulwini Manicipality has issued a certificate approving the pro-democracy protest march to the Embassy of the United States of America(USA). This comes after the Political Parties Assembly(PPA) in collaboration with pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) represented by Siphofaneni MP Mduduzi 'Magawugawu’ Simelane announced that the march will now be held on Friday 01 October 2021.
Mbongwa Dlamini, the President of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) says as teachers, they will support any effort that seeks to democratize eSwatini. Speaking during a briefing by pro-democracy political leaders on Swaziland News, Dlamini described SNAT as a democratic organization that supported the struggle for democracy.
