UJ adopts mandatory Covid-19 vaccination policy for all students from next year
Students at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) will need vaccination certificates to gain front into the organization from January 2022, and those unvaccinated will no longer be furnished with lodging at any university-owned house. This is after the UJ council adopted obligatory covid-19 vaccination coverage last week.

'Bad news for unvaccinated students
The University of Johannesburg is the most recent tertiary institution to enact a Covid-19 policy that is mandatory. Several higher education institutions across the country have signed mandatory vaccine policies requiring students and staff to be vaccinated. According to UJ, the UJ Council decided last month that all of the university's campuses and facilities would be mandatory vaccination sites beginning in January 2022.
