The Gauteng Department of Education says a pupil (16) shot and killed a fellow pupil (16) yesterday on the first day of school, before turning the gun on himself. Both grade 10 learners died. This happened at Lesiba Secondary School in Daveyton, allegedly after they had a quarrel.
Now that the festive season is a thing of the past, people have gone back to their work station and children from inland provinces have gone back to school on the 12th of January 2022, but in Gauteng Province, it was a bad first day at school since theya have lost a learner and one of their employees, both were reportedly gunned down in different occassions sadly.
