The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has reprimanded President Cyril Ramaphosa's decision of the new Constitutional Court judges, saying it shows he "needs honesty". This later Ramaphosa named Judges Narandran "Jody" Kollapen and Rammaka Steven Mathopo as Judges of the Constitutional Court, with impact from 1 January 2022.
The Constitutional Court now has two new members. Judges Narandran 'Jody' Kollapen and Rammaka Steve Mathopo have been appointed as the Judges of the Constitutional Court by President Cyril Ramaphosa. The President's office made the announcement on Friday. In a statement, the Presidency said "Judges Kollapen and Mathopo have illustrious careers in the legal profession and the Judiciary".
The Constitutional Court has two new individuals.
