Even during the local government election campaign, when people were having mass gatherings, the number was still at the lowest point. This might be because people have normalised adhering to COVID-19 rules and regulations.
South Africa has been under lockdown for 20 months since last year March when President Cyril Ramaphosa mandated it. Businesses have suffered and people lost their jobs and still continue to lose their jobs. Last year in December, no traveling was permitted and people did not enjoy the festive season.
If Cyril Ramaphosa put the country on lockdown again will you comply with the regulations this time around? The local municipal elections were held a month ago and during this time coronavirus was under control. But currently South Africa has been recording very high numbers of positive coronavirus cases.
South Africa has recorded a very high 1275 new positive coronavirus cases. This is the highest number of cases recorded in the past week. We have witnessed a steady increase in the number of coronavirus cases. With Gauteng having the most cases to account for the total number.

During the Local Municipal elections, the political parties where filling up stadiums campaigning to get majority of people to vote for their political party to win and govern, and during that time the Covid-19 cases where at their lowest level even though there were huge gatherings with people not abiding by the the Covid-19 rules and regulations, and not sticking to the number of people required at a gathering.

Except corruptions and poor service deliveries issues, the main issue which South Africans are not happy in this country is jobless, and the majority of unemployment rate is South Africans.
The inability of our government to make and implement regulations that will ensure only qualified legal Immigrants are granted access into our country is one of the reasons why we are overwhelmed by illegal Immigrants on daily basis.
