Arnold Terblanche, who stands accused of killing his wife, is leaving no stone unturned in his quest for freedom. He has brought forth fresh evidence that could work in his advantage. Senior state advocate Marius Stander had brought an application to strike out much of the evidence tendered by Terblanche in his replying affidavit on the grounds that it was a “regurgitation” of facts already presented to the court.

In a crime that shook South Africa, the husband of the now deceased Vicki Terblanche has been implicated in her death following the arrests of two men. The two men allegedly conspired with the woman’s estranged husband, Arnold Terblanche. While Arnold has not been arrested, the state has implicated him in the murder, as well as Mario de Ridder Jnr, the son of stock car racing champ Mario de Ridder who was killed in a horror crash in June.
The Gqeberha court was hit with an exodus after murder accused Vicki Terblanche’s boyfriend was caught with an envelope that had drugs. 32-year-old Reinhardt Leach was allegedly caught red handed with the stashed drugs. It is not clear where he had hidden the envelope. Leach was in court yesterday to listen to the bail ruling of his co-accused, Arnold Terblanche.
