DURBAN (AP) – On Thursday, a group of demonstrators broke into the Durban University of Technology (DUT) campus and became violent after being told that walk-ins were no longer permitted. DUT, the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and the University of Zululand will all undergo online registration for the 2022 academic year, according to the Mercury.
Two vehicles were torched and one of the buildings at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) campus in Pietermaritzburg yesterday morning was damaged. The university suspects that this is being done by students who want to complete the higher certification program or who have passed the program with the intention of qualifying for the next degree.
