A man who went missing this past week Saturday on 17 July at Malaeneng, Dennilton after receiving a call outside of his home was sadly found dead at a river, somewhere in Machiding. According to reports the men received the call and decided to go and answer it outside then he never returned back home, his family started looking for him wondering what the call could have been about and how it led to him just disappearing like that.

Three people were arrested by Western Cape police on Sunday night for being in possession of prohibited firearms. According to police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk, the arrests occurred after one of the men fired shots at a Philippi East officer on patrol in Thekwane Street in Lower Crossroads.
